My husband and I just spent an amazing week at Manta Ray Bay Resort and Yap Divers, and I can’t say enough good things about the entire experience.

The diving itself was spectacular. The health and diversity of the coral collection is just beautiful, and we saw a bit of everything: nudibranchs, rock movers, octopuses, barracudas, stingrays, sharks, and of course, the mantas. Doing the twilight mandarin fish dive was a huge highlight (and they didn’t even charge me for the light rental!).

What really blew us away, though, was the incredible hospitality. I unfortunately caught a cold and had to miss four dives. Instead of charging us anyway, they were incredibly generous and credited those missed dives against three extra dives I did later in the week, plus they covered an extra dive for my husband. You just don’t find that kind of flexibility at most resorts.

The food on-site was delicious for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. One night we wanted to venture out to try something in town, and the staff gave us a great recommendation for a nearby restaurant called Oceania. On our last day, they arranged a half-day land tour of the local villages for us, which was absolutely worth doing to see a bit of Yap’s culture.

To top it all off: I stupidly forgot my laptop at the hotel and didn’t realize it until I was already through security at the airport. The team completely rescued me, rushing it over to the airport and getting it to me before my flight.

They took such phenomenal care of us from start to finish. If you’re thinking about diving Yap, stay here—the diving is fantastic, but the customer service is unmatched!
