Yap Kids Sea Camp in Full Swing

The Kids Sea Camp group came in the wee hours of Sunday morning bright eyed and rearing to have a Mantastic Dive Adventure.  Their first day in Yap proved to live up to the standards of even the smallest critic…of course the resort’s infinity pool had a lot to do with it.  As a bar is to adults for creating and cultivating networking opportunities, the pool is to the kids their meeting ground for new-found friendships with the native kids….

One of the numerous things we at Manta Ray Bay Resort pride ourselves with, is teaching kids how to properly dive into the water.  This particular skill is best taught by none other than Bill as the Yap technique is one of finesse and flexibility…..  The technique is also used as a per-requisite to any dive course offered by the resort and the bigger the splash the higher the grade given.

After the first day’s dive adventure, the group enjoyed an evening of relaxation on the Mnuw and a couple of rounds of fresh Stonemoney Brew, from our in-house micro brewery.  The evening was spent getting acquainted with the various fun activities planned for both adults and kids.  Of course everything is always exciting when kids are involved…like the parents coming up after their second dive to find that all available drinking water on the boats was used as ammunition during a water battle between the boys and girls or feeling as if you were in the company of the characters in Frozen listening to Rachel’s (Molkentin) rendition of the movie’s music score.  This is just the beginning of yet again another memorable visit to the beautiful island of Yap.
