Yap is thrilled to host the 4th Micronesia Expo, running from July 21-25, 2025. This annual event is a vibrant celebration of the rich culture and heritage of the Federated States of Micronesia—Chuuk, Kosrae, Pohnpei, and Yap. A highlight of the Micronesian calendar, the Expo invites hundreds of visitors and delegates to experience a wide array of attractions and activities, including a parade of the states, traditional dance and singing performances, handicraft and carving demonstrations, fishing and cooking tournaments, island tours, and a cultural village operating throughout the event.

Each day, the Expo will take place at a different venue across Yap, offering unique activities and opportunities to explore the island’s diverse traditions and landscapes. Traditional dance performances will be a daily feature, showcasing the artistry and spirit of Micronesia. Visitors can enjoy convenient transportation to all venues, departing from and returning to the Yap Living History Museum (YLHM) in town. Lunch will be provided at accommodations, including the Mnuw for guests staying there.

Highlights include guided site tours and an exclusive trip to Rumung, Yap’s “forbidden island,” for those who sign up with the Yap Visitors Bureau (YVB) by June.

2025 Micronesia Expo Special Package Prices

Micronesian Expo Packages available from July 19th – August 2nd, 2025

These special hotel/dive packages include room, 10% government room tax, three-tank dive days, lunch on dive days, morning wake-up call with coffee/tea delivered to the guests’ room, breakfast, internet/wifi, late checkout, and airport transfers.

Special Activities

During the Micronesian Expo week, divers can book one (1) of the following free of charge:

• Half-day Kayak Tour
• Half-day Island Land Tour
• A Beach BBQ (min. 8 pax)
• A Yapese Local Dinner

Terms & Conditions

• Unless paying a 30% surcharge, we reserve the right to room singles with other singles of same sex
• A day of kayaking may be substituted for any day of diving at no extra charge
• Gear rental, departure tax, lunch (on non-diving days), dinner as well as other incidentals are not included in above-mentioned prices
• All rates are for packages and no refunds are available for any unused portion of a package
• Maximum occupancy per room is 2 adults and 2 children

* There must be at least one diver in the room for these rates to apply

**All hotel/dive packages include a late checkout based on the present United flight schedules. This means guests can stay in the room until we transfer them to the airport. Check-in time for the flights are dictated by the airlines and can be up to 3 hours prior to departure
