Bill Acker officially joined the ranks of diving legends in the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame for pioneering Yap. The induction ceremony was held in Grand Cayman for Bill and five others.

The International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame was founded in 2000 by the Cayman Islands Ministry of Tourism and recognizes those who have had a marked influence on scuba diving.

Bill was accompanied by his wife Patricia and daughter Numie along five more peer pioneers and trailblazers of the international scuba diving community.

The 2014 Induction Ceremony of theInternational Scuba Diving Hall of Fame was held at The Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort & Spa.

The 2014 inductees to the hall of fame are Bill Acker, Dan Orr, Chuck Nicklin, Alese and Morton Pechter and Neal Watson.
